Vent: Paid $45 for a Kickstarter board game that still hasn't shipped after 18 months

Backed a game called Dungeon Delvers back in early 2023. Looked great, had cool minis, seemed legit. Now the creator posts one update every 3 months saying "almost done" but the last tracker showed they were still molding prototype pieces. Lost $45 and a lot of trust. Anyone else get burned on a crowdfunded game?

Man, that's rough. $45 isn't nothing, especially when you're just sitting there waiting with no real timeline. I got burned on a miniatures game called "Warband" three years ago - same thing, updates every few months with nothing to show. Ended up having to file a chargeback with PayPal just to get my money back after 2 years. Hope yours eventually shows up or you can get your cash refunded somehow.

My buddy Tom dropped $60 on some indie RPG called "Dungeon Realms" back in 2019. He kept getting these cool concept art updates for like 18 months, then the devs just vanished. No posts, no refunds, nothing. He tried the credit card chargeback route but it was way past the 120 day window by then. Watched his money disappear into the void with zero to show for it. That whole thing got me so jaded about crowdfunding games lol.
