Vent: My old neighbor called board games boring until we tried Pandemic

He'd always see my game boxes and shake his head. One rainy Sunday, I talked him into playing a round with his kids. Fast forward, his whole family asks me for game recommendations every week. It's kinda cool how a single game session turned him into a total geek. Makes me smile thinking about it.

Did Pandemic stress out your new players? I switched to Carcassonne and everyone got into it, lol.

Actually @oscar471, Pandemic is a terrible first game for a lot of people. Its cooperative nature can create too much pressure for new players right away. Games with simpler rules are a much safer bet to get folks into the hobby.
