Took me 2 months to realize I was shuffling my deck wrong
I started playing a new deckbuilder at my local shop in Austin and kept losing my sorting system. Every game night I'd spend 20 minutes reordering cards after a shuffle, and I figured that was just how it worked. Last week someone finally pointed out I was splitting the deck into two uneven stacks and then mixing them sideways instead of overhand. Once they showed me the proper riffle method, my setup time dropped to like 3 minutes. Has anyone else had a basic mechanic they just never picked up until someone spelled it out?
