Wait, the fruit trick actually works? I tried that once with lemon slices and my brother immediately called it "fancy water" and asked where the real pop was. How do people not miss the sugar hit? Guess some folks just have different taste buds.

Did you put a lime in it? I've found if you have a wedge of fruit floating in the glass, people don't even notice the switch half the time.
