Rant: Our 5 player Twilight Imperium night turned into 9 hours and one guy quit at hour 7
So last Saturday we set up at Dave's place in Oak Park for what we thought was a normal game night, 5 players, everybody read the rules, we even had a snack break planned around round 4. Fast forward to 2am and we are still on round 6 because two guys kept re-reading the tech tree every single turn, and my buddy Marcus just stood up and left after getting wiped in a single fight. I get that big games take time but 9 hours for one game is not fun anymore, it is a hostage situation. How do you all handle players who slow the whole table down like this, do you just cut them or set a hard turn timer?
