Pro tip: I quit chasing new board games and my group is happier
I used to feel like I needed every hot new game to be a real board game geek. I stopped that last fall and now we play our old games more, which makes nights way better. Do you think the pressure to always have the latest game ruins the fun?

Love seeing this view because it's SO true. We burned out HARD trying to keep up with every new game and it just made game night a chore. Sticking to the old games we actually enjoy has brought the JOY back.

Wait, you only stopped last fall? @ruby_fisher1 is right, the burnout hits fast. My group cracked after just three months of that chase. Keeping up absolutely ruins the fun before you even unwrap the box.
