Our Catan game got totally derailed by a misplaced number token

We were playing at my buddy's place in Denver, and someone knocked the board halfway through. When we set it back up, we put the '6' token on the desert instead of the wheat field. The whole game turned into a weird resource drought nobody could figure out. Took us an hour to spot the mistake. Anyone else have a game totally break because of one tiny setup error?

Nah, that just makes the game more interesting.

Chaos just breaks the game balance. It stops being about skill and becomes pure luck. That's not interesting, it's just random.

My buddy Dave rolled five natural twenties in a row during a chaos night at our local shop last month. The whole table was losing their minds laughing, even the guy who lost a level ten character to a random lightning bolt. Sometimes the chaos just makes for the best stories you remember years later.
