My group tried a 6 hour game of Twilight Imperium and it broke one guy
Last Saturday we finally got 6 people together for Twilight Imperium. I prepped the rulebook for a week and even made cheat sheets. By hour 4, Dave was negotiating a trade for a space dock he didn't actually own. He snapped around hour 5 when someone took his home system and started talking to his chair. We called it after 6 hours and nobody won. Has anyone else had a game session that made someone totally lose it?

I used to think super long board games were just a test of patience and snacks. Then my group did a 12 hour mega session of a game called Eclipse with all the expansions. By hour 10 our friend Mike started trying to buy resources with his car keys and kept insisting he had a fleet that was already destroyed. We had to stop and take a break after he tried to negotiate a peace treaty with the cat.

Yeah I've been there @gibson.oliver. Pro tip: set a hard snack and stretch break every 90 minutes and make someone be the "time keeper" who isn't allowed to drink. Saves you from guys trying to trade real world objects for victory points.
