Just realized I've owned over 80 board games and only played maybe 20 of them
I was cataloging my shelf yesterday and counted 84 games total, but most of them still have the shrink wrap on. Has anyone else hit that weird milestone where your collection outgrows your actual playing time?

Hit that point about two years ago with my own shelf... sat down and realized I had 60 games with maybe 15 actually getting table time. What helped me was starting a "one in, one out" rule where every new game has to replace one I haven't played in six months. Also got a group together that meets once a month specifically to crack open those shrink wrapped titles, makes it feel like an event instead of a chore. You might try sorting your games into three piles: keep playing, want to try, and never touching again then sell or donate the last one. It hurts a little at first but your wallet and your shelf will breathe way easier.

The three-pile method turned me into a game-hoarding minimalist. Still haven't touched that shrink-wrapped copy of Scythe though.

Ha, I'm in the same boat - my shelf is basically a museum of good intentions at this point. At least the shrink wrap keeps the dust off.
