I used to buy every new board game I saw, now I just stare at my shelf
A couple years back, I'd grab any box with cool art, like that $70 monster game with 500 pieces. My shelf got so full I had to stack games on the floor. Then last month, I realized I'd only played maybe a quarter of them, and some were still in plastic. So now I just look at the whole pile and feel kinda stuck. Does anyone else have a collection that just makes them tired?

My brother-in-law had that same problem with vinyl records! His living room looked like a record store warehouse. He finally sold a bunch at a flea market last summer and used the cash to buy a really nice turntable. Now he actually listens to his favorite albums instead of just moving boxes around. It was a total game changer for his hobby.

Sold my whole collection at a garage sale. Kept just the 5 games my group actually plays, like Carcassonne and Ticket to Ride. Now I borrow new ones from the library or trade with a buddy down the street. My shelf has space again and I actually look forward to game night instead of feeling guilty. Did you try a trading group in your area?
