Finally got my wife to try Wingspan, and she beat me by 9 points on her first game
She has always rolled her eyes at my shelf of games, but last Friday I set it up on the kitchen table while dinner was in the oven and just started playing solo. She wandered over, asked why the birds had powers, and sat down. Two hours later she had built this egg-laying machine with the ravens and meadowlarks and beat me 78 to 69, and I was honestly not even mad. Now she wants to know if there are other games like it and I have no clue what to hand her next that won't scare her off. What did you use to get your partner into the hobby, something lighter or did you just throw them in the deep end?
