Can we talk about how I used to hate co-op board games but now I'm hooked?

I always thought co-op games were just groupthink where one person bosses everyone around. But last month my group played "The Crew" for 4 nights straight (we did 15 missions) and I was completely wrong. Everyone had to actually communicate and plan together, no quarterbacking allowed. Has anyone else changed their mind on a game type after giving it a real shot?

I mean, "groupthink" sounds like my last D&D session.

Not sure if my party agrees, @margaretk89, but that's probably the point.
