The guy had his anvil floating on a bed of inner tubes and sandbags. My whole setup is just a tree stump bolted to the floor, and now it feels like overkill. I watched him work for twenty minutes waiting for the whole thing to tip over, but it was weirdly solid. Makes you wonder how much time we spend overbuilding things in the shop. Maybe the secret is just a little bit of redneck engineering after all.
