Switching to brighter LEDs in my shop stopped my evening migraines.
I used to work under dim bulbs and would get headaches by dusk. Upgraded to high-lumen LEDs last month, and the difference is night and day. My eyes don't strain as much, and I can see finer details without squinting. It's made late sessions way more productive.

Actually some people find dimmer lighting easier on their eyes long term. Too much bright light can still cause glare and eye strain for a lot of folks.

Many doctors note migraines have many different causes beyond lighting. Stress and diet often play big roles in headaches too. So better lights might help some people, but it is not a sure fix for all.

Hold up, harper408 has a point but it's missing something. Dim lights can actually cause more eye strain because you squint to see things. Older bulbs often have a subtle flicker that messes with your eyes and can start headaches. Good LEDs give off a steady light without that flicker, so your eyes relax. It's not just about brightness, it's about getting clean light that doesn't jump around. That's why the switch helped OP so much with those evening migraines.
