My fancy scrollwork ended up looking like a confused pretzel

Spent all afternoon trying to forge an elegant gate hinge with some scroll details. When I stepped back, the whole thing had twisted into a shape that belongs in a bakery display case. Guess I need more practice on the bending jig, huh?

Man, I feel that. Metal has a mind of its own sometimes, doesn't it? Getting those scrolls to mirror each other is way harder than it looks, and if your jig isn't just right, the whole piece can torque on you. It's all in the setup, but hey, every pretzel-shaped piece is a lesson learned.

Read a forum post about metal scroll work that echoed what @danielh81 said. Proper jig setup really does make or break the symmetry. Those pretzel shapes are no joke.
