Just realized that buying tongs was a smart move after all

I used to insist on forging all my own tools, thinking it was the only true way. It took up so much time and often the results were not great. One day, a friend gave me a pair of store-bought tongs for a tricky project. They worked so well that I finished the job in half the time. Now I keep a few bought tools on hand for when I need to get things done right.

You're right that buying smart saves a headache, @paige_martin. The trick is knowing which tools to buy and which to make. A standard pair of tongs is fine for most bar stock, but sometimes you need a custom pair for a weird shape. I'll still forge those myself because no store sells them. It's all about picking the right fight for your time.

Exactly! Buying the right tool once is way better than fighting with the wrong one every single time (speaking from frustrating experience). It turns a huge headache into a simple fix.
