Coal vs propane forge, I was a hater for years

Always thought coal was the only real way to get good heat control, but a buddy at the Flint meetup let me run his propane forge for 15 minutes last month. It hit welding temp in under 5 mins and I didnt have to mess with the firepot once. Anyone else switch over and not look back?

Buddy of mine switched to propane and his coal forge rusted solid in the shed.

Nah, coal still gives way better control for detailed work.
