Window film from the hardware store works better than those fancy bird stickers
I tried all those expensive decals you see online. Butterflies, hawks, little dots. None of them did a thing. Birds kept hitting my big picture window at least once a week. Then my neighbor suggested I try that privacy window film you get at Lowes for like $15 a roll. The kind that makes the glass look frosted. Put it on the outside of the glass 3 months ago and haven't had a single strike since. The birds just see a solid surface now. Has anyone else had luck with the cheap stuff over the specialty products?

Honestly, are a few dead birds really that big of a deal?

Whoa, hold up! A few dead birds? That's like saying a few gallons of oil in the ocean is no big deal. These things have a ripple effect, man. One species gets wiped out in a local area, and suddenly the bugs are everywhere, crops get messed up, and the whole food chain gets thrown off. It's not just about the birds, it's about the whole system they're part of. And once you start shrugging off one little thing, where does it end? Pretty soon we're all just living in a wasteland because nobody cared about the "few dead birds.

You ever notice how the simplest, cheapest solutions just work better than the fancy stuff people push on you? I swear half the stuff marketed as "specialty" or "premium" is just marketing fluff. My buddy spent $40 on some UV bird tape that peeled off after a month. Meanwhile I used basic frosted window film from the hardware store and it's been solid for over a year. Same thing with furniture polish - the expensive brands don't clean half as good as plain old vinegar and water. Sometimes the "old school" method is the one that actually does the job.
