Washed my windows with shaving cream and now birds don't crash anymore??

Bet that shaving cream leaves a film that messes with how light reflects off the glass so birds see it as solid instead of transparent. Might be why they stop trying to fly through it.

Honestly, I'm not even sure birds care that much about a little shaving cream film. Like, have you seen how pigeons just walk straight into glass doors anyway? They're not exactly the sharpest tools in the shed. Plus if that shaving cream leaves a film, it's probably just going to wash off in the next rainstorm and then they'll be back to smacking into the window again. Ngl, it's a neat theory but I doubt the birds are doing complex light reflection calculations in their tiny bird brains.
