That DIY tape trick someone recommended wrecked my bird feeder
A guy on a Facebook group told me to use double sided tape on my window to stop bird strikes. Said it works like magic. Put it up last Saturday and a finch got its feathers stuck in the glue. Took me 15 minutes to free the poor thing with olive oil. Has anyone else tried something that backfired like this?

Did you test a small patch of tape first before going all in?

Three years ago I tried to pull up a linoleum floor in my kitchen and thought I'd tested a corner first... peeled back about two inches, looked fine, so I went for it. Turned out there was this black mastic underneath that smelled like a chemical plant exploded and I had to wear a respirator for two days. My neighbor Dave still brings it up every time he sees me with a scraper. So no, I didn't test a patch of tape before sticking it to my wall yesterday, and now I've got a faint line of adhesive I can't scrub off. That's just how I live my life, apparently. Hope your project went smoother than my kitchen floor adventure.
