Spent $40 on those Acopian bird savers and they actually work

I put the external blinds on my big living room window last month after finding three stunned finches in two weeks. Haven't had a single strike since and the birds seem to just glide right past now. Has anyone else tried the tape patterns instead, or did you go straight for the screens?

My buddy tried the tape first and said it worked okay but the sun made the adhesive get all goopy after a few weeks. He ended up switching to the blinds like you did and said it was way less hassle.

Goopy tape? From the sun? That's a new one to me. I figured it would just lose its stick, not turn into a melted mess. Sounds like peeling it off would be a nightmare, getting that residue everywhere.
