Showerthought: I wasted $30 on those window decals that are supposed to stop strikes, and the birds still hit
I put up a six pack of those clear sticker dots on my big slider in April, mostly because they were cheap and I was tired of hearing the thumps. Two months later a robin hit the glass right between two dots, and I mean right in the gap. Turns out a lot of those dot decals need to be spaced closer than the pack says, and the tiny ones do almost nothing for fast birds. I could have skipped the stickers and just hung a cord with a few plastic rings off the outside for free. What spacing actually worked on your windows, and did you measure it or just eyeball it?
