Saw a whole office building in Atlanta with bird tape on every window

I was downtown last Thursday and noticed a 20 story glass building completely covered in those white dotted decals... spaced about 2 inches apart. It looked kind of wild from the street, like the building had chickenpox. But I didn't see a single bird on the ground nearby, so maybe it works. Is covering every single window like that the best approach, or is it overkill and ruins the look for people? What do you all think is the right balance?

Better ugly than deadly.

Read an article about how reflective glass is a huge problem for birds, they just don't see it. That building in Atlanta probably had a ton of strikes before they put all the tape up. It does look weird, but a dead bird at the base of a building looks worse. Maybe they could use patterns that look more like art from a distance, but the dots have to be close together to actually work. The balance is tough because the building's look matters, but so does not killing wildlife.
