Question about my tally after I put up window decals

I hit exactly 47 days without a single bird hitting my kitchen window after I put those Acopian BirdSavers up. Has anyone else counted their strike-free days and gotten a number that surprised them?

Man I just realized I haven't been counting at all. I put up some homemade paracord lines across my big picture window after a junco hit it hard and left a greasy smear. That was maybe three months ago? I know I've been strike-free since then but I can't remember the exact date. I should start a tally on the fridge with a dry erase marker or something.

Isn't it wild how we don't realize how much we just let things slide until something forces us to pay attention? It's like that with all sorts of stuff, not just bird strikes. I bet half the people who finally put up those little window decals or netting probably forget exactly when they did it too, just like you. That's how life goes, right? We all just kinda wing it until something jars us into keeping a tally, whether it's bird hits or how many days we've kept the house clean.
