PSA: Those UV window decals at the state park visitor center actually worked

I stopped by the visitor center at Lake Hope State Park last weekend and noticed they had these UV reflective bird decals on ALL their big viewing windows. The ranger told me they went from 2-3 strikes per week down to ZERO since putting them up in April. Has anyone else had luck with the UV type vs the regular silhouette decals?

My buddy told me a story about his backyard bird situation that makes me believe those UV decals really work. He had a big sliding glass door facing his feeder and was finding dead warblers almost every week. He tried the regular black silhouette decals and still had a couple strikes. Finally he got those UV reflective ones like you mentioned and he said the difference was immediate. He went from cleaning up dead birds to just watching them fly right up to the glass and then veer off at the last second. I think the UV ones are doing something the eye can't see that the bird's eyes pick up.

Hell yeah @the_gavin, did he try spacing them closer together first?
