My old window stickers were a total bust until I tried FeatherFriendly dots

For years I used those cheap hawk silhouette decals from the hardware store, maybe one every two feet, and still heard that awful 'thump' a couple times a month. Last spring, after a robin hit my big living room window in Cincinnati, I finally put up the FeatherFriendly tape with dots spaced just 2 inches apart. It's been over 8 months now without a single strike! Has anyone else made a switch to a specific pattern that actually worked?

Did you use the pre-made tape or the DIY kit? I tried the tape strips on my patio door and it was a total game changer, zero strikes since I put it up. Honestly wish I had done it years ago.

My neighbor used those tape strips on his garage windows. Worked great until his kid peeled one off to stick on a toy truck. Had a cardinal knock itself out the next morning. Sometimes the low tech fix needs a high tech kid lock.

Man, you are spot on @michael895. I did the same thing on my sliding glass door last spring and it’s been night and day. I used the pre-made tape strips (the clear ones, not the frosted) and they’ve held up great, even through winter. That one change stopped all our finch drama cold. Totally feel you on wishing you’d done it sooner.
