Just read a study that said up to a billion birds die from window hits in the US every year
I was looking up why cardinals kept hitting my kitchen window and found a report from the American Bird Conservancy. The number is so big it's hard to even picture. It made me realize my few local birds hitting the glass is part of a huge problem. Has anyone else seen this stat and what did you do after finding out?

Yeah that stat is the kind of thing that makes you see the world differently. You start noticing how many buildings are just giant glass walls and it all clicks. I put some stickers on my worst window and it actually helped.

Seriously, the real kicker is how it messes with indoor plants. My peace lily started burning in a spot that gets that focused afternoon sun through the glass. It's not just about us, the whole room heats up like a greenhouse. Makes you wonder why they even sell those big tropical plants for places with floor-to-ceiling windows. The stickers helped my plant more than my electric bill.

Yeah, the stickers thing is a good idea. My friend had a place with a huge window and after reading something like what @skyler_white95 said, she put up some of that window film. It cut down on the glare so much she said it felt like a different room. I mean, it's a cheap fix that actually works.
