I finally moved my feeder after hearing a guy at the hardware store in Lansing talk about his worst strike month
He was buying window film and mentioned that March was his worst month, 11 birds in 3 weeks, all hitting the same window near his feeder. What stuck with me was that the feeder was only 4 feet from the glass, so birds would flush and land right into it. I moved mine out to about 12 feet and added a screen on the inside, and so far zero hits in 9 days. Anyone else have a feeder distance rule that actually works, or do I just have a quiet stretch going?
