Warning: Don't start Severance on a Tuesday night like I did
Last week I made the mistake of clicking episode 1 of Severance around 8 PM on a Tuesday. By 3 AM I had burned through all 9 episodes and was staring at my ceiling trying to figure out what I just watched. I called in sick the next day because I got maybe 2 hours of sleep and my brain was still processing that finale. My supervisor left me a voicemail asking if I was okay because I never call out. The worst part is season 2 doesn't come out for another few months and now I'm just stuck thinking about weird office snacks and goat rooms. Has anyone else had a show completely wreck your sleep schedule like this or am I the only one who can't pace themselves?

I mean, the goat room literally made me pause and rewind twice because I thought I was hallucinating from sleep deprivation. Maybe it's just me but that single image has haunted me more than anything else from the show. I still can't look at baby goats the same way honestly.

That goat room detail really stuck with me too but nobody talks about how the show is secretly a commentary on how we all put on a "work face" and go home feeling like we lost a few hours of ourselves every single day...
