Update: I was watching 'The Bear' and realized I'd been binging wrong for years.
I always put on a show while doing chores, so I missed the tension in the kitchen scenes because I was folding laundry. My friend in Chicago asked me a specific question about a character's choice and I had zero clue what she was talking about. Are there any shows you have to give your full attention or you'll miss everything?

Yeah, some shows are basically movies you can't look away from. Try watching "Dark" while unloading the dishwasher and you'll be totally lost in two minutes. It's almost not worth putting on unless you can just sit and watch.

Used to think I could watch anything while doing chores. Then I tried following "Dark" while folding laundry. Missed one key line and the next three episodes made no sense. Now I save those dense shows for when I can actually focus. It feels more respectful to the work the creators put in. You're right, some things just need your full attention.
