Rant: I bought a whole streaming service for one show that got cancelled after a season

Paid for a year of that new 'FlixZone' thing just to watch 'Space Truckers'... they pulled it after eight episodes. So that's basically $120 down the drain for a show that doesn't even have an ending. Anyone have a good sci-fi series with a real finale I can actually finish?

Renting a movie" is a good way to look at it, but I just hate that feeling. I want to own the stuff I really like, not just borrow it until it disappears.

Ugh, I just treat streaming like renting a movie... it's all temporary now.

Renting a movie" is exactly the right way to put it. It's funny how everything's going that way now - not just movies and music, but even tools and software. Used to be you bought a power drill once and it lasted twenty years. Now everything's a subscription. @the_thomas is right about wanting to own the stuff you really care about.
