PSA: Think twice before bingeing that new true crime show because it exploits real victims for entertainment.

I watched it all in one sitting and now I feel sick about how it handled the sensitive material.

Yikes, called out by my own tv habits. I literally just finished the whole season last night, fully knowing how messed up the whole genre can be. So I guess the joke's on me for being the exact person that PSA was talking about. Now I'm sitting here feeling icky and entertained at the same time, which is a weird combo.

Read an article about how some victims' families hate these shows. Your icky feeling makes total sense.

What? You watched the whole season in one night? That's intense, man. I had to space that show out over a week just to process it. I got that same icky feeling, especially when they dragged out the crime scene photos. It really does feel like they're using real pain as a plot twist sometimes.
