My brother in Austin said to watch 'Severance' in one weekend or don't watch it at all
He came over last month and insisted we start the first episode right then. He said the mystery builds so fast that if you space it out, you lose the feeling of being totally stuck in that weird office with them. We ended up finishing the whole season in two days, and he was totally right. Has anyone else had a show where the binge itself was part of the experience?

I read an interview with Dan Erickson, the creator of Severance, where he said the show was designed to feel like one long, anxious dream. He even mentioned that the slow pacing on the office floor was intentional, so when things get crazy you feel that same disorienting shock the characters do. That stuck with me because it's exactly what your brother was getting at. Binging it keeps you in that same fog, you don't get to step away and shake off the weird feeling. I think shows like The Leftovers or Dark have that same effect, where the mood and mystery are so thick you have to stay submerged in it. Breaking it up just lets the tension leak out.
