Just walked past a huge billboard for that new show 'Chrome City' downtown
It's on 5th Avenue, right by the subway entrance. The ad is massive, covers the whole side of a building. They're pushing it hard. But I saw the fine print. It's only on that new 'StreamFlux' service. I checked. That's a $17 a month subscription, just for one app. I was gonna watch it, but not for that price. Feels like they're locking good shows away. Makes it tough to actually binge anything without paying for five different things. Anyone know a show like it that's on a normal service?

Read an article the other day about how streaming services are basically turning into cable all over again... just more expensive and fragmented. Said the average person now needs like 4 or 5 subscriptions to watch what used to be on one channel. That "Chrome City" billboard gets you, they know what they're doing. Shame because the show actually looked decent from the clips I saw online.

It's the same with everything now. You need a different login and password just to use a toaster. They split up all the good stuff so you have to pay for every single place. It makes you not even want to watch anything. Pretty soon we'll be back to just reading books.
