I finally bailed on a show after 5 episodes of nothing happening
Watched 'The Resort' on Peacock because the trailer looked fun. 5 episodes in and literally zero plot progression, just people wandering around a hotel. Has anyone else fallen for a show with a cool premise that totally wasted your time?

Bailed after three hours of that nonsense myself. You got further than I did, honestly. The show is basically a travel brochure for a resort that doesn't exist, with some cryptic nonsense thrown in to make you feel like there's a mystery. I kept waiting for something, anything, to actually happen and it just never did. The trailer tricked me too, it looked like a fun weird comedy mystery but it was just people being confused and wandering around. At least you gave it a solid try, I just felt robbed of my time.

Check your streaming settings, @ninal91, sometimes you can mark a show as "watched" or "not interested" so it stops popping up. I had to do that after The Resort because it kept suggesting it. Then go watch Trial of the Chicago 7 or something with actual payoff. Saves you the headache of seeing that teaser again.
