Had to choose between binging The Wire or The Sopranos first

I finally started The Wire last month after years of putting it off, and man I wish I'd picked it sooner. The Sopranos was great but The Wire feels way more real, like I actually learned something about Baltimore every episode. Anyone else flip their watch order and regret not doing it earlier?

Yo hold up, you actually waited years to start The Wire? Thats wild to me cause I binged it in like two weeks back in 2018 and it changed how I look at TV shows forever. Bet you started The Sopranos first too huh, I almost made that same mistake but my buddy literally grabbed my phone and queued up The Wire episode one.

Season 4 of The Wire is the one that really got me, especially how they followed those four kids in the school system. I remember watching Randy's storyline and just feeling sick to my stomach cause it felt so real, almost like a documentary. But you're right about the order though, I tried The Sopranos first years ago and dropped it after like 5 episodes cause it felt too slow. The Wire grabbed me from episode 3 of season 1 when they showed how the drug trade actually runs like a business with all those pay phones and beepers.
