Can we talk about how "Mindhunter" ended on a total cliffhanger 5 years ago and Netflix still hasn't renewed it?

I finished season 2 back in 2019 and kept waiting for news about season 3. Nothing. They teased the BTK storyline so hard and then just dropped it. Why even set that up if you're gonna leave us hanging forever? Do you still hold out hope for more seasons or have you given up on Netflix fixing this?

Have you tried checking if Fincher's talked about it in any recent interviews? I kept waiting too but finally just watched the real BTK confession footage on YouTube to get some closure. It's not the same as the show obviously but it helped me move on honestly. I'd love more seasons but at this point I'm treating it like a cancelled show not a paused one.
