Bailed on episode 7 of a show because of a Reddit comment about pacing
I was three episodes into this new crime drama on Netflix and it felt slow. Everyone online was hyping it up as the next big thing. Then I saw a comment on the show's subreddit saying the first 5 episodes are just setup and it really picks up at episode 6. I skipped straight to episode 6 and it was way better. The comment was right, the payoff was worth it. Anyone else find jumping ahead helps with slow starts on shows?

Yeah I've done that exact thing with a few shows. The Witcher season 2 was dragging for me so I looked up when it gets good and skipped to episode 4. Missed some lore stuff but honestly the payoff was way better than suffering through episodes I wasn't enjoying. Just make sure you read a quick recap of what you skipped so you're not lost on character stuff.

Yeah "suffering through episodes I wasn't enjoying" is exactly how I felt with that show too.
