Serious question, a bike shop guy in Denver said my tire pressure should change with the weather and I'm not sure if he's messing with me
Stopped by a shop on Colfax last week to grab a tube and got talking to the mechanic, Ray, who said he drops his pressure about 10 psi when it gets cold out. He said the rubber gets harder and you lose grip on painted bike lanes, which honestly never crossed my mind in 3 years of commuting. I always just pumped to the number on the sidewall and called it done. Anyone else actually adjust pressure for seasons, or is this overthinking it?
