Did you try one of those cheap ones that claim to be super bright? The real difference is night and day, those clip-ons are basically just a flashlight pointing at the ground.

Are we really acting like getting honked at four times is some kind of emergency? I've been using a cheap clip-on for like two years and I'm still here, no tickets and no crashes. Maybe the real problem is people not paying attention to where they're walking, not the light itself. My little USB charged one works fine for getting my keys out at the front door.
