A bike shop guy in Denver told me 9 out of 10 commuters ride with their saddle way too low
So I was getting a new chain put on at this shop off Broadway and the guy working there told me something that stuck with me. He said almost every commuter bike he sees comes in with the saddle set way too low, like 3 or 4 inches lower than it should be. He pulled up a photo on his phone from a fit class he took and showed me the whole deal, your knee should be almost straight at the bottom of the pedal stroke. I measured mine when I got home and sure enough I was way off, probably been riding like that for 8 miles a day for two years. Fixed it that night and my knees stopped aching within a week, no joke. Anyone else get their fit checked or do you just eyeball it like I did?
