Vent: A customer's vintage Raleigh had a seized bottom bracket that fought me for two hours straight.

After trying every trick in the book, a local frame builder told me to heat the shell with a propane torch for exactly 30 seconds, then tap the fixed cup with a brass drift, which finally broke the corrosion seal and saved the threads.

Ever have a job where heat is the only answer left? I had a crank arm that just would not budge no matter what... felt just like @harper408 with that seatpost. A little careful heat from a torch finally got it to let go.

Man, heat is the only thing that works sometimes right? I fought a stuck seatpost for like three days once, finally got it with a torch and some wd-40 lol.

Feel that, heat's the last resort for sure.
