Showerthought: Stop greasing threads on square taper crank bolts, I keep seeing it in Twin Falls
Had two bikes roll through in Twin Falls last week with backed out crank bolts because someone greased the taper and the bolt, and that grease lets the arm creep and wobble loose. Torque it dry to spec and check it after the first ride, does anyone actually have a good reason for greasing there?
