Rant: A customer called me out on my chain cleaning method
They said my old way of just spraying degreaser on the bike was lazy and pushed grit into the links. Now I take the chain off for every full clean, and the drivetrains I work on are way quieter. How many of you actually pull chains for a basic service?

Honestly I used to think taking the chain off was overkill too. But after trying it, the difference in noise is impossible to ignore. I'm a convert now for sure.

Yeah the "difference in noise" part is what got me too. I saw a video where someone compared the sound levels and it was pretty wild.

Converter here too, I used to call people crazy for doing it. Now I'm the crazy one with no chain.
