Hot take: shops that skip a proper test ride after brake bleeds are asking for it
I was in Denver visiting a buddy's shop on a Tuesday and watched a kid hand a customer a bike right off the stand after a full brake bleed with zero test ride. I asked him about it and he shrugged and said the lever felt fine in the stand. Here is the thing, the lever always feels fine in the stand. Ten minutes on the street tells you if a piston is weeping or a hose fitting is seeping under real pressure. So what is your shop's rule, test ride every bleed or just send it and hope?
