Debate: Should you grease the threads on disc brake caliper bolts or use threadlocker?
I've always used grease to avoid corrosion and seized bolts, but my buddy at the shop swears by a drop of blue Loctite after a caliper came loose on a long descent last summer which one do you guys go with and has anyone actually had a caliper bolt back out on them?

Hold on, grease actually attracts more grit and corrosion in the long run...

You had a caliper bolt actually back out on a long descent? That's terrifying, I would have needed a new pair of shorts after that. I've been wrenching on bikes for years and never had one come loose, but I always use a tiny dab of grease to keep things from corroding together. Now you've got me second guessing everything, maybe I'm rolling the dice every time I hit a rocky trail.

Last summer I had a pedal literally snap off the crank halfway down a chunky trail, still not sure how that even happens. Now I check everything twice before every ride, even the stuff that's never given me trouble.
