My purple shampoo turned my bathroom into a crime scene
Got a little too confident with my bleach touch-up at 6 am in my apartment in Tulsa, then grabbed the purple shampoo without thinking. Walked out for one minute to grab coffee, came back and the sink, mirror, and my white towel were all splattered with violet streaks. Spent 20 minutes scrubbing with baking soda and dish soap, but my towel looks like a tie-dye experiment gone wrong. Anyone else ever had a color-depositing product explode on them, or just me?
Crime scene" is exactly right, my bathroom looked like a horror movie for pastel hair. I read somewhere that color-depositing shampoos can actually react with hard water and turn into this weird foamy mess, which explains why it went everywhere. I had a similar thing happen with a pink conditioner last year, I swear it shot out of the bottle like a soda can someone shook up. My shower curtain still has a faint pink blotch in the corner that I just gave up on. Baking soda is a lifesaver for the sink though, good call on that. Your towel sounds like a lost cause, but honestly, just call it abstract art and move on.
