I finally stopped falling for $30 hair masks that do nothing
I swear I bought every fancy mask at the drugstore and even a couple from a salon in Portland over the past year. Last month I added up all the receipts in my drawer, it came to about $180 total. None of them made my dry ends feel any better after the first wash, which is crazy because some of those little jars cost more than my conditioner. Then my sister told me to try plain coconut oil from the grocery store, the one in the baking aisle for like $4. I slathered it on before a shower, waited twenty minutes, and honestly my hair felt softer than after any of those masks. Has anyone else dumped a ton of cash on high-end treatments and then found a cheap fix that actually worked better? I want to know what I should do with the leftover half-jars, maybe mix them together or just toss them.
