Update: the brow wax at the mall kiosk in Fresno left me with a rash for 9 days
I got my brows waxed at one of those walk-up kiosks in the Fresno mall on a Saturday because my usual girl was booked for 3 weeks. The woman there told me "don't worry, this wax is the gentle kind" and smeared it on without doing a patch test, even after I mentioned my skin flares up easily. By Monday morning both brow areas were red and bumpy and it took 9 days of hydrocortisone before things settled down. I'm not saying every kiosk is bad, but please ask for a patch test even if they act like it's a hassle. Has anyone had luck finding a brow person who actually checks your skin first?
