Stumbled on my old gaming setup photos from 2012

I was cleaning out Google Drive last night and found pictures of my battlestation from like 12 years ago. That desk was just a cheap laminate door on two filing cabinets with a CRT monitor taking up half the space. The cable management was basically just hiding everything behind the tower and hoping for the best. It's wild how much thought I put into ergonomics and lighting now compared to back then. Does anyone else look back at old setups and cringe a little bit?

Oh man, the laminate door desk was a whole vibe back then. My "setup" was basically a folding table with a 19-inch CRT that weighed like 40 pounds and a tower fan pointed right at me because that thing was basically a space heater. The cable management was just shoving everything under the desk and hoping the rats didn't nest in it lol.

Yeah the rats thing hits close to home, found mouse droppings behind my tower once and just sprayed febreeze on everything.
